Toast

Gotta hand it to the salacious New York Post once in a while:

Obama North Carolina Victory Speech

Here is video of Obama's inspirational victory speech in North Carolina. I wonder if he'll make another speech if he manages to win Indiana (knock on wood!)

Obama Wins North Carolina, Indiana Close!

CNN and the networks project that Obama will win North Carolina.

Update: Wow, with 21% of the precincts reporting in North Carolina, Obama is winning by 20 points! Indiana looks to be a very close race. Not a good night for Clinton.

Update 2: Holy crap, Hillary is only leading by 3-4% in Indiana now!! Chuck Todd said a lot of the votes still to come are from Obama strongholds. Hmm... Nail biter!

Update 3: OMG! MSNBC just narrowed the gap in Indiana to 2%, with Hillary only leading by 17,000 votes and still a few few huge Obama strongholds near Illinois yet to report in. Wow...

More updates to come here...

1.5 Million Donors to Obama Campaign

Hooray! 1.5 million people have donated to Obama's campaign.

As Andrew Sullivan puts it:
No one has ever come close to this in history. And it was done by the Internet, destroying the power of major donors to control a candidate, empowering so many to make a difference and altering the face of campaign finance for ever. And yet the Democrats are seriously considering rebuking this astonishing achievement in favor of an old nepotistic pol whose campaign, when it hasn't been incompetent and complacent, has been straight from the Rove playbook.

Be careful of prophets bearing false gifts

Quote of the Day:

Be careful of prophets bearing false gifts.

-- Miles Mogulescu, in an article discussing the lunacy of the McCain/Clinton "gax tax holiday".

82-Year-Old Obama Supporter - Fired Up!

Aww, I love this. There was an 82-year-old lady at an Obama rally a while ago that was really fired up (see video here). She went on a morning show recently and just oozes positivity and excitement. I hope I'm this spritely when I'm 82!

The Empire Strikes Barack

Here's a video I saw over the weekend that I really like. It casts Barack Obama as Luke Skywalker and, surprise surprise, Hillary Clinton as Darth Vader.
