Fallout of Obama Attacks
Here's an excerpt from an email from my darling mums sent earlier this evening, who loves Obama as much as I do:
On CNN Anderson cooper, Bill Bennett and Carl Berstein just said that the racial stuff and other behaviors of the Clintons is not boding well for them, and the democratic party is starting to talk about it a lot. They said that what will win in Nov is both the candidate's views and how they and their campaign have conducted themselves. Many in the party are not liking how the Clintons are conducting themselves, on starting the race thing, on other stuff they listed. They said the Clintons have truly been advocates for minorities all their lives and truly dreamed of the day a black person could be president, but now they are shaken and scrambling that the day is now and it's against them. They said also that the bad comments by Bob Johnson and Rangel have also hurt them and concerned Democratic party folks.
Bennett said he played Obama's Reagan comment 3x on his radio show, and was very impressed. Both said that if Obama can weather the Clinton storm and stay the course as he is, above it all, balanced, out of the fray, and if he can snag the nomination, that many Republicans will also surely vote for him.
I was relieved to hear this commentary tonight. We'll see tomorrow.
Love you mums!
